For the negative view of England i am portraying Urbanisation. I have taken the fact the towns and cities are "Eating up" the countryside to a more literal translation. Having the city trundle about the countryside and actually devouring smaller settlements in the countryside. Leaving in its wake a trail of motorways, estates and pollution.
